3.1. Installing and Configuring the Required System Components

For each machine that Syteca is to be installed on, the following Windows system components first need to be installed (or configured):
• For Syteca Application Server:
- .NET 8.0 (.NET Runtime 8.0 and ASP.NET Core 8.0 Runtime) components need to be installed, which can be done while updating to Syteca Application Server v. 7.23 (or higher) by clicking on the links provided on the Requirements page of the installer.
NOTE: For versions prior to Syteca 7.23, .NET Framework 4.8 is required (instead of .NET 8.0 components), which requires administrator permissions for installation, and the computer needs to be restarted after installing it.
• For Syteca Management Tool:
• Internet Information Services (IIS)
NOTE: .NET Framework requires administrator permissions for installation, and after installing it, the computer needs to be restarted.
