Improvements:

[Application Server Issues and Error Messages:] SMBv2 or higher now needs to be enabled (since SMBv1 is no longer supported) when using a shared folder to store binary data before installing or updating to Syteca Application Server v. 7.23).

[Syteca Encryption:] The RSA key length has now been increased to RSA-4096 data encryption for forensic export, as well as for the Syteca Master Certificate (after reissuing the Master Certificate for existing deployments, by using the new "Migrate Master Certificate to 4096-bit" button).

• [Management Tool UI:] A recently-updated offline version of this Knowledge Base is now available in the Management Tool interface.

[Management Tool UI:] Translations have been updated for the Ukrainian (UA) language localization.

[Management Tool UI:] Various refactoring to improve performance has been carried out (relating to database query optimization for loading the data on the Activity Monitoring page, modifying the Client permissions with many users / user groups, etc).

[Database:] The database structure has been optimized. Please note that after updating Syteca, the data migration process will begin as soon as the Application Server starts up. Migration takes place in the background, and may take some time to complete and affect system performance while in progress. Recommendations for updating Syteca can be found on the Updating the System (Checklist & Best Practices) page.

Issues Fixed:

[Password Management:] "The target machine is not a Linux system" error occurred when attempting to rotate the password (e.g. by using the Rotate Now button) on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS machines - fixed.
